“Clintons Testify in Epstein Probe: New Insights Revealed”

Featured in:

Former United States President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State, were questioned for over nine hours last week in connection to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The public now has access to their testimonies given to a Republican-led congressional committee. The depositions were held in their hometown of Chappaqua, New York, and covered inquiries about Epstein, who passed away in 2019 in a New York City prison, and Ghislaine Maxwell, his associate serving a prison sentence for sex trafficking.

During the testimony, Hillary Clinton asserted that she had never met Epstein, a claim that has not been disproven. Bill Clinton, in a public statement, emphasized that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities during their association and would have reported him if he had known. He denied witnessing any illicit behavior on Epstein’s plane involving underage girls. The former president’s deposition aligned closely with his previous accounts in a 2024 book and Maxwell’s interviews with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Clinton described his relationship with Epstein as transactional, where Epstein offered his plane for Clinton’s foundation’s use in exchange for discussions on various topics like economics and politics. Clinton mentioned that he was surprised law enforcement never contacted him given their interactions. The relationship ended in 2003, with Clinton stating that Epstein showed limited interest in his global health initiatives. Clinton also expressed skepticism about Epstein being an intelligence agent for a foreign service.

The Clintons and Maxwell were associated for several years, with Maxwell expressing interest in Clinton’s early Clinton Global Initiative work. Photos released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act depicted Clinton at a pool with Maxwell and others, with Clinton explaining the context of the images during a trip to Asia. Additionally, a photo showed Clinton receiving a massage from a woman, later identified as Chauntae Davies.

Throughout the testimony, Clinton occasionally stated that he couldn’t recall specific details, similar to his past public life. He refuted claims made by Virginia Giuffre and Maria Farmer, asserting he had never visited Epstein’s properties as alleged. Clinton disputed these allegations, drawing parallels to past instances where he denied accusations that led to his impeachment.

Regarding his interaction with Donald Trump concerning Epstein, Clinton recalled a brief conversation about Epstein wanting the same piece of land as Trump. Trump’s account differed, claiming Epstein had taken female employees from his property, prompting Trump to confront him. The complex Trump-Epstein relationship has been subject to various reports and allegations over the years.

The release of the closed-door hearing videos featuring the Clintons offers the public an unfiltered view of their testimonies without the theatrics often associated with public hearings. The depositions were conducted professionally, contrasting recent public hearings that have seen more contentious exchanges. The video recordings provide transparency and insight into the Clintons’ responses to the committee’s inquiries.
