In a recent blunder during the live finale of Survivor 50, host Jeff Probst mistakenly revealed the outcome of a crucial challenge before it aired. The incident occurred as Aubry Bracco secured a spot in the Final Three by winning the final immunity challenge, leaving Rizo Velovic and Jonathan to compete in a fire-making challenge.
During a live segment, Probst inadvertently disclosed that Velovic would be the season’s last juror, indicating his elimination from the competition. This premature announcement shocked both Velovic and the audience, prompting Probst to acknowledge his mistake amidst gasps and murmurs.
Upon returning from a commercial break, Probst light-heartedly referred to the mishap as a “Survivor twist,” attempting to downplay the error. Despite the unintentional spoiler, Probst humorously stated that viewers would witness Velovic losing to Jonathan in the fire-making challenge.
As of now, CBS, the broadcaster of Survivor, has not issued an official statement regarding the incident. Ultimately, Bracco emerged as the victor of Survivor Season 50, claiming the $2-million US prize after a jury vote of 8-3-0 over Jonathon Young and Joe Hunter.
