Olivia Rodrigo draws inspiration from the Lilith Fair as she announces her own music festival, Daisy Chain Fields. The festival, featuring an all-women lineup, is set for August 29 in Irvine, California. Apart from Rodrigo, the event will showcase performances by various artists including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, and Not for Radio. Special guests like Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, and Karen O are also listed.

In an interview with Pitchfork, Rodrigo expressed her desire for the festival to address global issues, emphasizing the importance of inclusive lineups. She highlighted the original Lilith Fair’s ethos of promoting equality and shared her admiration for women singer-songwriters from the ’90s.

The festival, founded on the principles of fostering joy, community, and creativity for meaningful change, will donate all net proceeds to charities supporting women and girls, including Planned Parenthood, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, and the National Institute for Reproductive Health.

Olivia Rodrigo, known for her philanthropic efforts through Fund 4 Good, continues to champion causes like reproductive rights, girls’ education, and gender-based violence prevention. General admission tickets for the festival start at $250, with presale currently available for fans. Rodrigo’s latest album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” has secured her third consecutive No. 1 position on the Billboard charts, following the success of her debut album “Sour” and its successor “Guts.”
