Featured in:

Justin Bieber made a triumphant return to the Coachella stage on Saturday night, revisiting his early days as a viral sensation on YouTube. The Canadian pop star delighted the crowd in Indio, Calif., with tracks from his latest album “Swag II” before surprising fans with a duet with Australian artist Kid Laroi.

Taking a nostalgic detour, Bieber sat down at a laptop and journeyed back to his youth in Stratford, Ont. He sang along to his hits like “Baby,” “Favorite Girl,” and “That Should Be Me,” showcasing his growth as an artist with a more mature vocal range. Engaging with the audience, Bieber even took requests and interacted with fans who have been following his journey since his early days.

During his performance, Bieber also revisited some of his iconic YouTube moments, including a cover of Chris Brown’s “With You” and a rendition of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” from a school talent show back in 2007. The screens at Coachella displayed footage of a young Bieber, highlighting his evolution from a 12-year-old with a tie to a global superstar.

Addressing his personal struggles, Bieber recently shared his challenges with mental health on social media, expressing his ongoing battle with anger and the pressure of fame. Despite these obstacles, Bieber showcased a captivating performance at Coachella, closing the show with a mix of his newer material and special guest appearances.

The atmosphere at Coachella was buzzing, with pop star Katy Perry and former prime minister Justin Trudeau spotted enjoying the festival together. Perry humorously mentioned Bieber’s YouTube Premium account, lightening the mood amidst the festival vibes.

In a nod to fellow headliner Frank Ocean’s minimalist approach, Bieber delivered a memorable set without letting his past troubles overshadow the show. Ending the night with a mesmerizing display of fireworks, Bieber left the audience in awe of his talent and growth as an artist.
