Drawing parallels to Israeli military operations in Gaza, Katz emphasized the creation of a defensive buffer zone by demolishing structures used by Hezbollah.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich advocated for the annexation of southern Lebanon up to the Litani River. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant displacement, with Lebanon’s Health Ministry reporting casualties and widespread destruction.
The situation escalated as Israeli forces conducted incursions into Lebanese territory, leading to civilian casualties and further displacements. Amidst the conflict, a three-year-old girl was among the victims of an overnight strike southeast of Beirut.
