Nick Fuentes and his supporters, known as Groypers, are actively pushing American conservatism and the MAGA movement towards more extreme and risky grounds. Fuentes began gaining traction in 2017 post the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Through his program, America First, Fuentes openly lauds Adolf Hitler and advocates for white supremacist, Christian nationalist, and antisemitic ideologies.
Recently, Fuentes and his ideologies took a step closer to the mainstream when he appeared on the show of Tucker Carlson, a prominent right-wing talk show host in the United States.
The increasing acceptance of Fuentes’ beliefs is being discussed with Ali Breland, a staff writer at The Atlantic, and Ben Lorber, a senior research analyst at the social justice think tank Political Research Associates. Lorber is also the author of “Safety through Solidarity: A Radical Guide to Fighting Antisemitism.”
