The popular line from the TV show “Heated Rivalry” — “I’m coming to the cottage” — will soon become a reality for fans as the lakefront home featured in the series finale, known as The Cottage, will be available for bookings on Airbnb. The Barlochan cottage, a three-bedroom retreat located in Muskoka Lakes, Ontario, has garnered significant attention from fans following its appearance in the episode.
In the show, characters Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov spend their summer at the cottage, where their personal retreat transforms into a pivotal moment in their relationship as they share their fears, family stories, and contemplate a future together. With its expansive windows and breathtaking views of the lake, the cottage has been described as a place for meaningful conversations and unforgettable experiences.
Starting March 3 at noon ET, guests can reserve weekend stays at the cottage until May for $248.10 Canadian dollars per night, a tribute to the characters’ jersey numbers: 24 and 81. Bookings for the summer season from June 1 onwards will be available at a later date with pricing to be disclosed then.
The property owner, who chose to remain anonymous, collaborated closely with Airbnb to list the cottage for rentals. To celebrate the opening of the Barlochan cottage to guests, Airbnb has pledged a donation to the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka, an organization supporting underprivileged children in the region. The exact donation amount was not disclosed by the company.
