DOJ Releases Documents on Epstein & Canadian Connections

Featured in:

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) made public around 30,000 pages of documents on Tuesday, which include images, court records, and emails related to Jeffrey Epstein. This release follows the initial unveiling of documents from Friday and Saturday concerning the DOJ’s case files on the deceased convicted sex offender.

Among the released documents are details with Canadian ties. One file contains an April 2020 letter drafted by the DOJ and relayed to authorities in the U.K. The FBI and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York were seeking an interview with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, regarding potential associations with fashion tycoon Peter Nygard.

The letter highlighted evidence connecting Mountbatten-Windsor to both Nygard and Epstein in separate sex-trafficking inquiries. It mentioned a visit by the former prince to Nygard Cay, Nygard’s luxurious Bahamas property, where Nygard allegedly trafficked minor and adult female victims.

While the former prince was not a subject of any ongoing investigation and no evidence suggested his involvement in any U.S. law violations, U.S. authorities wished to question him about his visits to Nygard Cay and any knowledge he had about Nygard and related individuals.

Nygard has faced multiple sexual assault accusations across jurisdictions and was convicted in 2023 by a Toronto jury on four counts of sexual assault.

In a different FBI intake record, allegations from an unidentified individual in August 2020 claimed they were groomed in 1996 by two individuals, including a Serbian Canadian described as a “lingerie model actress.” The accuser also stated that their artwork was stolen as part of a scheme orchestrated by these individuals to settle a debt, ultimately leading to an encounter with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell, who was implicated in aiding the recruitment of underage girls for Epstein, was arrested in July 2020 and later convicted on various charges, including sex trafficking conspiracy and sex trafficking of a minor.

Another allegation to the FBI, dated August 5, 2020, involved a person who asserted being introduced to Epstein by a Canadian woman in New York City around 2004 or 2005, who also had connections with Maxwell. The woman, described as an aspiring French Canadian model, allegedly procured young women, including underage aspiring models, to meet Epstein, claiming to receive monetary rewards from him for her assistance. The allegation also mentioned Epstein’s penchant for massages.

These revelations emerge as part of the ongoing scrutiny into the networks and activities surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, shedding light on various individuals and their alleged involvements with the disgraced financier.
