Director Jacob Tierney has made a plea for privacy for the cast and crew of the popular TV series “Heated Rivalry” as they film Season 2. The request, also shared on the show’s official Instagram account, asks fans to respect the filming process and give the team the space they need to work efficiently.
While Season 2 of “Heated Rivalry” is currently being filmed in Toronto and Montreal, there is a possibility that filming may return to familiar locations in Hamilton, Ontario. Fans, eager to catch glimpses of stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, have already been spotted in downtown Toronto over the weekend, sparking excitement and even prompting shopping trips to Canadian Tire after Williams was seen carrying one of the store’s reusable bags.
The queer hockey romance series, which premiered in late 2025, quickly gained a global following for its stars, Williams and Storrie, attracting attention uncommon for Canadian TV actors. Both actors have been cautious in setting boundaries with fans and the media to maintain their privacy.
Recent incidents, such as Storrie declining a fan’s photo request in Toronto and Williams facing off with alleged autograph-sellers in Paris, highlight the challenges faced by the actors in managing their public interactions. Additionally, the filming of Sarah Polley’s adaptation of “The Bell Jar,” featuring pop star Billie Eilish, has also drawn attention in Toronto, with photos surfacing on social media despite efforts to maintain a closed set.
While the “Heated Rivalry” team has explicitly requested space for filming, other productions like “The Bell Jar” have faced similar challenges with maintaining privacy amidst public interest.
