Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made a public appearance together at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Monday evening. The singer and former prime minister were seen happily interacting and showing affection towards each other at the premiere of Perry’s concert film, “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris.”
Despite their intimate gestures, both Perry and Trudeau opted for more reserved attire. Perry wore a white halter gown with rose accents, inspired by Grecian style, while Trudeau chose a classic black suit paired with a white open-collar shirt.
Trudeau spoke fondly of Perry to the press, jokingly mentioning that he had seen her show multiple times but had only focused on her. The couple’s relationship first gained attention in July when they were seen together in Montreal. This outing took place shortly after Perry and her then-fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, announced their separation after a seven-year relationship.
Their relationship became more public in October when photos of them embracing on Perry’s yacht surfaced. The couple further acknowledged their connection on social media when Perry shared pictures of them together during Trudeau’s visit to Japan.
Since then, they have been seen together at various events, including a Netflix screening party and Coachella. Trudeau, who resigned as prime minister in March 2025, was previously married to Sophie Gregoire, with whom he shares three children.
Trudeau’s eldest son, Xavier, who is pursuing a music career, revealed that he often seeks feedback from Perry on his music, indicating her supportive role in his creative endeavors.
