“Drake’s Stunning CN Tower Light Show Unveils 3 Albums”

Featured in:

Anil Mohabir expressed his disbelief on Friday following his recent collaboration with Drake to unveil the Toronto rapper’s latest music project. Mohabir played a key role in projecting a striking icy blue light display on the CN Tower, described as a “real-time, 3D animation” that captivated viewers. The event included a fireworks show illuminating downtown Toronto’s waterfront and culminated in the surprise release of three albums at midnight: the highly anticipated “Iceman” along with the unexpected albums “Habibti” and “Maid of Honour.”

Mohabir, the founder of Studio AM, a renowned digital design studio in Toronto, was approached by Drake’s creative team at DreamCrew with the concept just three weeks before the event. The elaborate production required meticulous coordination with various teams, including the CN Tower’s lighting departments, Transport Canada, and the City of Toronto. Mohabir oversaw a crew of around 300 individuals who contributed to the project’s execution.

Utilizing 75 projectors from both domestic and international sources, the spectacular display was set up across multiple locations, with a significant portion of the budget allocated to the high-end equipment. The projectors alone were valued at approximately $15 million, emphasizing the scale and complexity of the endeavor.

Following the successful projection, Mohabir described the awe and astonishment felt by all involved, highlighting the impact of the visually stunning presentation. This event marked the culmination of a series of attention-grabbing activities leading up to the album release, including Drake’s strategic use of various stunts and installations across the city to generate excitement and anticipation.

An overarching theme of promoting Canadian talent and enhancing the city’s cultural landscape was evident throughout Drake’s initiatives, with Mohabir emphasizing the opportunities provided to local creatives through collaborations with the artist. Mohabir expressed gratitude for the platform that Drake has provided, allowing innovative ideas to come to fruition at an exceptional level within the Toronto community.
