Olympic ice dance champion Guillaume Cizeron has accused his former partner Gabriella Papadakis of spreading false information about him ahead of the upcoming Milan-Cortina Winter Games. Cizeron, who now skates with Laurence Fournier Beaudry, believes that Papadakis is conducting a smear campaign through her upcoming book, “So as Not to Disappear.”

The duo of Papadakis and Cizeron achieved remarkable success in ice dance, setting records and winning numerous championships before parting ways in December 2024. Papadakis, in excerpts from her book, described their relationship as unbalanced, with Cizeron being portrayed as controlling and demanding.

Cizeron raised concerns about the timing of the book’s release, just weeks before the Winter Olympics, questioning the motives behind the allegations. He vehemently denied the accusations made against him in the book, stating that they are false and damaging to his reputation.

Papadakis also shared personal struggles in her book, including past trauma and emotional hardships. Cizeron, on the other hand, expressed his disappointment with the situation and emphasized the respect he had for Papadakis throughout their partnership.

Cizeron and Fournier Beaudry have been successful in their new partnership, winning competitions like the Grand Prix de France and the Finlandia Trophy. Fournier Beaudry, who previously represented Canada, has now become a French citizen, allowing the duo to compete together in the upcoming Olympics as strong contenders.
